About

My name is Ted Shideler. I live in East-Central Indiana. By day, I’m a production planner, a board member at the Delaware County Historical Society, and the editor of the DCHS newsletter, The Society Quarterly.

By night, I work on this blog. I mostly write about Indiana history, but I get sidetracked by other things like old highways, tobacco pipes, and whatever else comes to mind.

I write about things that strike my fancy. I’m a curious person, and I want to know more! I longed for a place to tell me about my interests, so I started researching, snapping photos, and writing. I hope this blog becomes a repository of useful historical information like I could have used before I went out and did all of that.

This blog is my hobby, but I take it seriously. If you subscribe, you’ll find that my whims frequently change. I try my hardest to cite all my sources, and I post fresh content daily. Thanks for stopping by!
