The Marsh Supermarket at Muncie’s Southway Plaza opened in 1958. Marsh operated it as its namesake brand along with LoBill Foods, Marsh Hometown Market, and MainStreet Market. The store closed in 2014. It was most recently a flea market.

Abandoned Marsh: Greensburg
Marsh opened its first Greensburg supermarket -a Foodliner- around 1950. The building was expanded in the 1980s. Subsequently, Marsh operated it as LoBill Foods, Marsh Hometown Market, and MainStreet Market. In 2017, the store was purchased out of bankruptcy. Today, it’s home to Needler’s Fresh Market.

The store briefly reopened as Shoppers Value Foods before closing again in 2019. Today, it’s home to state offices.

Logansport’s first Marsh supermarket opened around 1969. Nearly fifty years later, it closed when the company declared bankruptcy in 2017. In 2019, it reopened as Gothra’s Neighborhood Market. It closed again the following year.

A SuperStandard at 3737 E. Washington Street in Indianapolis opened in 1980. Marsh bought the store two years later. Eventually, the company rebranded it as LoBill Foods. The east half the building became Savin*$ Mercado in 2002, but Marsh closed both sides four years later. Today, the structure houses Save-A-Lot and the Marion County Election Board Service Center.

Marsh purchased the chain in 2003 and converted the supermarket to O’Malia Foods, then LoBill, then Marsh Hometown Market. The store closed in 2017. Today, it’s home to Viet Hua Market.
