Documenting AT&T’s “Long Line” towers and offices is my next big statewide project. This map serves as a working document to help me keep track of them.

The map is a work in progress. At first, it’ll consist of an Indiana border and the sites. Antenna icons represent microwave relay towers and phone icons represent offices that were part of the network.

Green icons indicate towers that still exist. Red icons indicate towers that I know have been demolished. Gray icons are places I haven’t ventured to yet. Over time, my goal is to turn all the gray icons green!

Eventually, I plan to include a layer of microwave relay lines between the towers in Indiana and the nearest relays they supported in the surrounding states.
