The Marsh Supermarket on Franklin Road in Lawrence opened in 1959. It operated as Marsh, then Marsh Hometown Market, until it closed in 20127. Today, the building is home to SE Imports & Wholesale.

The Marsh Supermarket at 6121 Crawfordsville Road in Speedway first opened in 1977. The building was eventually renovated to take its present appearance. The store closed in 2014. Most recently, it was home to Big Lots.
Abandoned Marsh: Ross Corner
Marsh Supermarkets began operating a hardware store in 2000 after it purchased Muncie’s Ross Supermarket chain. Ross Corner had been in business at the site since 1920. Marsh closed it in 2008. Later, the building was home to Frankie D’s Flea Market. The building burned in 2015. It’s been replaced by new construction.

The O’Malia supermarket on West 86th Street In Indianapolis opened around 1982. Marsh bought the chain in 2001 and closed the store in 2006. For a time, the building was home to Kahn’s Fine Wines & Spirits Superstore. Today, it’s Fresh Thyme.

Marsh’s LoBIll Foods grocery on Connor Street in Noblesville originally opened as an A&P. Kenley Market acquired the store in 1984, then Marsh purchased it in 1998. The supermarket closed in 2009 and was replaced by Big Lots. Big Lots just closed.

Indy’s Arlington Square shopping center was built in 1974. I hope someone chimes in with a specific date, but Marsh eventually opened a LoBill store in its southern space. The store closed in 2006 shortly after the company was purchased by Sun Capital Partners. Today, it’s home to a furniture and mattress store.
