The O’Malia’s on College Mall Road in Bloomington opened as Jewel and later became Mr. D’s Fresh Food Market. Marsh purchased the Mr. D’s chain in 2003 and converted the store to O’Malia’s soon after. It closed eleven years later. Today, the remodeled building is home to Goodwill.

Abandoned Marsh: Fairfield, Ohio
The Marsh Supermarket in Fairfield, Ohio, was opened in 1963 and renovated eighteen years later. It closed in 2013. The building was later home to Planet Fitness but was eventually demolished. Today, ALDI stands on the site.

The Marsh warehouse at 333 S. Franklin Road was purchased from National Tea Company -owners of Standard Supermarkets- in 1982. My grandpa had an office there! The warehouse closed in 2016. Today, the 137,000-square-foot building appears to be occupied by LODX LLC.

The Marsh supermarket at 880 US-31 South in Greenwood opened as a Standard Grocery. Standard built some really off-the-wall concepts! Later, it became home to Preston-Safeway. Marsh eventually acquired it and operated it for years before it closed in 2012. Today, the building is home to Greg Hubler’s DriveHubler preowned car dealer.
