Randolph County’s District 10 school in Nettle Creek Township was first situated along County Road 900-West. It stood on land owned by the Scott family¹. In 1868, a new school was established at its present location on a plot owned by Isaac Wood². Two years later, it was relaunched as a school for African-American pupils.
