For years, one of AT&T’s Long Line microwave relay towers stood near Burlington, Indiana. It connected signals from a tower thirteen miles southwest in Frankfort with another sixteen miles east in Kokomo and a third eighteen miles northeast in Anoka1.
The tower looked similar to those in Warren and Frankfort2. After the Long Lines program ended, an AT&T successor sold the Burlington tower in 20013. The tower was demolished soon after4. Today, all that remains of AT&T’s Long Line presence is a service bunker.
