AT&T built thousands of microwave relay towers as part of its Long Line communications network. Although they haven’t been used as part of it in nearly forty years, many towers remain standing across Indiana. One dominates the skyline just west of Williamsport, Indiana.

The tower in Williamsport was built around 19701 and stands 154 feet tall2. When in use, it relayed a signal from twenty-eight miles away in East Lynn, Illinois twenty-eight miles southeast to Crawfordsville3.

AT&T deaccessioned most of its towers around the year 2000 after the Long Lines program ended, . Today, the tower at Williamsport is owned by CTI Towers and used by Ceres Solutions, the W.A.T.C.H. TV company, and AT&T4.
