Information about Richland Township’s District 6 schoolhouse in Madison County is hard to come by. It’s visible on an 1880 map of Madison County1 but it appears as though the present structure was built around 18992.

The school received its common name from the Conner family, on whose land it sat. In 1923, Raymond Coxton was the teacher at Conner3, but the school didn’t stay in operation for much longer; it closed sometime prior to 19304.
Today, the District 6: Conner schoolhouse has been expanded to the rear and is used as a home.
